MSD288-50A50 | Overview

High performance spacer tapes have been specifically developed for use in membrane switch applications and associated products. The spacer tapes which utilise high performance adhesive, provide a good level of initial tack and a high level of adhesive strength. Developed for use in the harshest of conditions, spacer tapes demonstrate outstanding resistance to hostile environments. They are ideally suited for die-cutting.

MSD288-50A50 | Description

The MSD 288 50A50S1 is a double-sided spacer tape designed for various high-performance applications. This tape features a total thickness of 0.288 mm, with a carrier thickness of 0.188 mm and adhesive thicknesses of 0.050 mm on both sides. It is made from PET (polyethylene terephthalate) material, which is clear in color.

Key characteristics of this tape include:

  • High Adhesion: It offers good adhesion to steel and PET surfaces, making it suitable for a wide range of substrates.
  • Thermal Stability: The tape can operate effectively in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 120°C, with short-term resistance up to 200°C.
  • Durability: It is designed to withstand harsh environments, which enhances its suitability for applications like membrane switches, labels, and flexible circuits

This type of tape is particularly useful in electronic applications where reliable bonding and spacing are critical.
